Malaysian Association of Theme Parks & Family Attractions (MATFA) was established in October 2001 to represent members’ interests in all matters relating to the operation of Family Entertainment Centres when dealing with local authorities and government agencies. The purpose of forming MATFA has now evolved to bringing together industry players to develop the theme park tourism & attractions industry as a wholesome and safe family fun for all with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, social responsibility as well as complying to all applicable standards, laws and regulations. MATFA continuously organizes regular meetings with relevant authorities and government agencies, hosts and participates networking dinners, conferences and exhibitions both locally and abroad in order to keep members updated with market trends and industry practices. Presently, MAATFA has a membership of almost 90 and it continues to grow. Members of MATFA have built a strong platform to collectively champion their common interests as well as an extensive network to promote their business, to share market information, to enhance knowledge and training as well as to elevate industry standards in professionalism & safety.
