A delegation of 20 MATFA members led by delegation leader Ms Angeline Phuah attended the 3-day Indonesia International Toys & Kids Expo 2019 organized by Chaoyu Expo at JIExpo Kemayan, Jakarta.
In addition to visiting the expo, members also had the opportunity to visit tourist spots such as The National Monument, Jakarta’s iconic landmark towering at 115 meters high topped with gold gilded flame and the Indonesia Miniature Park, a vast complex showcasing the vast and diverse traditional houses, clothing, artifacts and traditions of the country.
Members had a fun filled day reliving their youthful days on the last day of the trip when the group visited Dunia Fantasi PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol. Hosted by Mr Edy Prastiyo and his team, members were introduced to the new rides and development in the park. Some brave members rode in one of the roller coasters and some signature rides.
For the very first time our association have taken a booth to promote MATFA members at the MATTA Fair which was held at PWTC from 6 – 8 September 2019.
Our MATFA booth served as a platform to promote all members and was perceived to be a one-stop centre for theme parks & attractions by the visitors. We were able to promote both for members who did not have booth as well as members who have booths at the fair.
All members were very supportive and worked together to project a positive image for MATFA and were quick in replenishing their leaflets. The flat screen TV, the 3D aquarium and the lockers were all provided by members to enhance our MATFA booth. The extra tables and chairs were provided by Mr Steven Chong from Bangi Wonderland and he even provided a staff to help at our MATFA booth.
Our Vice President, Ms Veronica Yap, together with Mr See, our Treasurer & Mr Tai, our committee member and Mr Lim Eng Hock took turns to manage the booth and also went around the fair to promote and recruit members for MATFA.
With such show of support and commitment from members, MATFA can only grow stronger and be the catalyst of growth and progress for the theme park tourism and attractions industry.
